PROBLEM: Health students are saying “no” to medical mission trips because of the cost to attend the trip, their lack of funds, and shortage of time for fundraising due to studying. These obstacles coupled with certain “perceptions” of medical missions prevents these students from experiencing the life-changing joys of participating.
SOLUTION: You might not be able to go on a medical mission, but a health student can! We find the students and partner them with your funding. These students join community Healthcare network as medical student volunteers through this program students will their skill set and/or gain experience working in another community across the globe through our volunteer abroad program-more than likely, many of our volunteers become medical mission doctors later in their career than a health professional that didn’t participate early on. This program is intended to let you conveniently sponsor a health school student in need of funding to go on a medical mission trip.
- Donations are 501(c)3 tax deductible and charged monthly to a credit card. However, you may opt to make this a one time payment and include a memo with " sponsor medical student" along with your payment.
- Community Healthcare Network will find the medical student and match them with your fund..
- We send you an email introducing you to the students.
We award grants of a maximum of $999 per student attending a mission trip.
We hope you will partner with us as we launch this new program to help MORE first-year medical school students participate in trips.
